As owner and operator of Wass Tours I am proud to share with you my knowledge and passion of fishing. Certified in Transport Canada Requirements including Small Vessel Operator Proficiency and MED A3 you know that you are operating in a safe and insurable vessel. Wass Tours is also registered with the Ontario Sportfishing Guides Association. Come Fish with the Pros!

Our fully insured, professional charter service offers down rigging for Salmon, Rainbow and Lake Trout on Lake Huron. We also offer flat line adventures for rainbow trout, walleye, northern pike and musky throughout Lake Huron and Manitoulin’s Inland Lakes. If you are an avid fisherman looking to land a lunker or you’re a first timer wanting a memorable experience our fishing adventures are for you!

Please note our “All Other Charters” travel to distant scenic locations in North Channel including: Mcgregor Bay, Baie Finne, Frazer Bay, Killarney and Collins Inlet and Phillip Edward Island.


Our guiding service is available for those who own their own boat and require ourknowledgeable guides to accompany them. Our guides can customize your trip to increase thechances of landing the “big one” by offering half and full day trips throughout the North Channeland Georgian Bay including many of Manitoulin’s inland lakes.

Ice Fishing Charters

Come hard water fish with the pros on Lake Huron and many Manitoulin In-land lakes for rainbow trout, Lake Trout, whitefish, jumbo perch, walleye and northern Pike. Fully guided trips via snowmobile and atv are available. Inquire for rates and availability.

Spring Rainbow Trout Run

The Spring Rainbow Run is one of the best times of the year on Manitoulin Island to be out on the lake enjoying non stop Rainbow action. Whether you are trolling, casting or fishing from shore we guarantee that you will not be disappointed. We encourage our guests to bring there boats as there many bays and lakes that serve up excellent rainbow opportunities.

Scenic Boat Cruises

Have you ever wanted to experience Manitoulin Island from the water? This is your opportunity to take in some of the most breathtaking scenery that can only be enjoyed by boat. Travel the traditional canoe routes of the Anishnaabek as your experienced First Nations guide shares the history and legends of the majestic Mnidoo Mnis.

 Remember! Your safety is our priority. We provide all necessary PFD’s for our passengers. Although we require advance booking, tours will be cancelled before departure in the event of inclement weather. Please note we have a maximum capacity of 5 passengers.....................

Shebonaning "Canoe Passage"

Duration: 3-4hrs

The Shebononing tour is designed to be educational, relaxing and most importantly, fun. Families are encouraged to bring there swimming attire.

This authentic experience takes you back in time through the trading routes of the local Anishnaabek through traditional storytelling and legends. Revel at the oral history of Skull Points as your Anishnabek guide shares the story of this 17th Century battle site. Take in the natural beauty of the Lacloche Mountains through the narrow channels to “Hole in the Wall”.   Enjoy the warm waters by taking a swim in the sheltered sandy cove.  Make sure to keep your trigger finger on your camera as you might snap a shot of the soaring golden and bald eagles.

Stop for lunch at the tourist port of Killarney where you will enjoy the world famous Killarney fish and chips. Take a self guided tour and explore the many shops that dot the shoreline landscape. Depart to the traditional fishing Islands of the Manitoulin Anishnaabek as you and your guide embark on a shoreline expedition for historical artefacts. Your last stop will take you on a guided tour of “Gishtenhs Place” where you will have the opportunity to take some last minute photos with your Captain.
